NHP Author Lorie Keene to Receive Second Advanced Degree from SBTS

Lorie Looney Keene will graduate (for the second time!) from Southern Seminary this May. Previously, Lorie earned a master of divinity in Christian education/women’s ministries. This May, she will receive her ThM (master of theology) as well.

A student at heart, Lorie loves the opportunity to study and learn more about God’s Word and in turn how to share His truth with others. As the wife of a full-time minister of youth, Lorie serves beside her husband on staff at her local church. Together, she and Stephen minister to families primarily through the youth and children’s ministries.

Lorie, author of Pull Up a Chair, believes that Titus 2 gives a clear mandate for women to know, teach, and share God’s Word with other women in a way that both honors God and does not malign His Word.

Currently, she has the opportunity to help theology become relevant and understandable to women of all ages at her church through teaching Bible studies and personal mentorship.

Her goal is to help raise up a generation of women who trust Christ, study and know His Word, act faithfully to its teachings, and are able to implement applied theology into their everyday lives.
